Our school district needs board members that put what’s best for our community and children first. There are many items that I look forward to acting on such as building capacity issues, bullying issues, and creating stronger lines of communication between all levels in the district, meaning school board members right through to the students, parents, and community members.
I have seen firsthand how easy it is for children to get lost in the school system when they need support, and I’m looking to encourage my fellow board members to create a district-wide support-tracking program in effort to encourage follow-up, action, and accountability. We need to help those who help our children, so they can learn and thrive as they continue through the school system.
As a first-time candidate, I need to work harder to be known in the community, which means more flyers, signage, and media advertising. I need personal donations to achieve this. All donations will go directly to the production and placement of these crucial elements. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. The maximum donation limit is $1250 per individual person (business and corporate donations cannot be accepted as per Elections BC policy). Donations under $50 can remain anonymous, otherwise all donations will be recorded and made public in a financial disclosure statement after the campaign period ends.
