About Me
I grew up in Abbotsford, and am a parent of two neurodiverse children, one who is currently in the school district and one who has recently graduated. I have been actively involved in the PAC (parental advisory council) at three different schools from grades K-12 for over 6 years. My roles have been President, Treasurer, general support, and special events with an emphasis on fundraising. I have been employed with the Abbotsford School District for almost 7 years as a noon hour supervisor (duty mom) and I have had the honor of watching some of our children grow into their potential. I’ve laughed with them, and I’ve cried with them, and those experiences motivated me to become a member of ARJAA (Abbotsford Restorative Justice and Advocacy Association). I value ensuring that our children are treated with compassion, fairness and that they receive the best possible instruction. I have a strong regard for education and am a part-time student at UFV and currently working towards my Bachelor of Arts degree.
